Constituency
Louth, Meath East, Meath West
I wish to observe that the county of Louth now has a population of 139,100. The entire county could become a 5 seat constituency with an average representation of 27,820 per TD. This would resolve an existing issue whereby some parts of county Meath are part of the Louth constituency.
The county of Meath now has a population of 220,296. A total of 8 seats is now possible, with an average representation of 27,537 per TD. This could be divided between Meath East and Meath West as either 3 and 5, or 4 and 4.
Best wishes,
David Higgins
