Commission Minutes and Agenda

Our Commission meets on a regular basis to lead the work of An Coimisiún Toghcháin. Here you can find the minutes and agendas of our Commission meetings. Each agenda and associated set of minutes are published once they have been approved by the subsequent Electoral Commission meeting.

Customer Service Charter

The Customer Charter describes the level of service customers can expect from An Coimisiún Toghcháin.

Statement of Strategy

Every 3 years, under section 28 of the Electoral Reform Act we prepare and submit to the Joint Oireachtas Committee a strategy statement focused on the following 3 years.

Governance Framework Document

Strong governance is essential to have in place the appropriate structures, policies and processes for directing and managing An Coimisiún Toghcháin in our role as Ireland's independent electoral commission.

Protected Disclosures

Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 requires the publication of an Annual Report each year relating to the number of protected disclosures made in the preceding year and any actions taken in response to such disclosures.

Irish Language Scheme

The Official Languages Act 2003 requires us to prepare an Irish Language Scheme for An Coimisiún Toghcháin. Once completed our Scheme will outline the services we provide: through the medium of Irish; through the medium of English; through the medium of Irish and English.

FOI Publication Scheme

Section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 requires An Coimisiún Toghcháin to prepare and publish as much information as possible in an open and accessible manner on a routine basis outside of FOI, having regard to the principles of openness, transparency and accountability.

Data Protection

Our Data Protection Policy sets out the steps we adhere to when processing personal data, so that our processing of personal data is in compliance with the higher standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct of An Coimisiún Toghcháin sets down the general principles and standards which govern the professional activities and conduct of persons working in the Commission thereby maintaining a high level of public confidence in our work as an independent public body and employer.
