I wish to make the following observations in regard to the review of the Dail Constituencies – specifically in relation to the Sligo/Leitrim constituency, consisting of Sligo, Leitrim, North Roscommon and South Donegal.

Firstly, I believe county Leitrim should not be split, as when this was the case previously, Leitrim ended up without a TD to represent it.

Secondly, from my own personal experience and interactions with many people in South Donegal, the vast majority of people in this area are strongly of the opinion that this part of the constituency should be returned as part of a county Donegal constituency.
